MILLWALL STUDY SUPPORT
The Department for Education and Skills Playing for Success initiative established out of school hours study support centres at football clubs and other sports’ grounds. Centres are equipped with the latest ICT facilities and help motivate pupils identified by their schools, as being in need of a boost to help them get back up to speed in literacy, numeracy and information and communication technology.
CAMDEN SUMMER UNIVERSITY
Camden Summer University provides activities for young people during the summer holidays. The activities and courses are free to young people 14-25 who live, work or study in Camden.
TUKE SCHOOL
Tuke School caters for 56 boys and girls aged 11 to 19 from the borough of Southwark. One-third are in the sixth form and all have statements of special educational needs related to profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders. In recent years, more pupils with complex and challenging behavioural needs have been admitted. Nearly 50% have English as an additional language and boys outnumber girls by approximately 3:1. The school recently gained Artsmark Gold status.
